So, with this new horde of players coming in, we took the time out to bring you a detailed Guild Wars 2 leveling guide, allowing these players to quickly reach the coveted level 80.
Guild Wars 2 Leveling Guide
Like other MMORPG titles, Guild Wars 2 requires serious dedication and commitment. However, when you reach the end game, they are all worth it as it is only then, the game gets exciting. You get to take on impossible raids, battle with massive bosses and the best of all, annihilate your friends in PvP. But, to achieve all this, you have to level up which can get quite time-consuming, if you don’t do it right.
So, to save your time, we have comprised a detailed Guild Wars 2 leveling guide. We guarantee after going through this guide, you will know exactly what to do in the game in order to reach that coveted level 80 mark. So, without further ado, let’s begin.
Guild Wars 2 Guide: Level 1-25
Starting off in Guild Wars 2 can be a pretty tedious job as initially, the newly-made characters are quite weak and hence are unable to take out enemies quickly. Plus, since new players are unable to farm dungeons, gathering ample amount of experience is near impossible.
So, if you wish to quickly level up during the very first stages of Guild Wars 2, you will have to tilt towards Map Completion and Personal Story. These two are the best ways to gather large amounts of experience. Furthermore, the Edge of the Mista is another way to level up quickly. However, for that, you would need a Commander to follow.
The first thing to do once you land in the game is unlock Waypoints for Caledon Forest, Plains of Ashford and Queensdale. However, to unlock these, you would need to first complete the tutorial. It is only after completing this, you are going to be allowed to enter your races’ respective capital city. Once that is done, head on over to Lion’s Arch and find the portals for the three cities mentioned above.
After opening up the portals for all three of these locations, head straight on out of their main gates and go towards the racial zones. From here on out, it is just grinding. However, since the area is filled to the brim with enemies, you can easily reach level 15 in just a couple of hours.
As soon as you hit the level 15 mark, it is time for you to head on over to complete your personal story as your level will already be higher than that of your quest requirements. As a result, completing these quests will be like spreading warm butter on a toast. So, by the time you are level 25, you will be done with your personal story and will have sufficient loot to carry on with the more serious fights and enemies.
Guild Wars 2 Guide: Level 25-35
Once you hit the level 35 mark, you can quickly and easily level up by following around your Commander and his group. However, since most of the time, the enemy team is there to deprive you of experience. Hence, accumulating it can be quite difficult. As a result, to remedy this, we advise you to dwell inside the Edge of the Mists. Here the chances of coming across an opposing team are quite rare, hence you can level up in peace.
Another way to quickly boost up your level is by entering in the PvP section of Guild Wars. Now, this bit is a bit more intense as you are competing against other players. However, once you get the hang of your character and its abilities, winning fights will not be an issue. Plus, as you win more and more fights, you will rank up your Reward Track, from which you can get your hands on the Tome of Knowledge.
These Tomes provide the players with an instant level up, once used. So, you can imagine just how incredible and valuable the PvP section is in Guild Wars 2. However, on a side note, we would advise you to constantly keep a track of the meta-game as many players will be using it to their advantage. So, it is advised you do the same. Poker rule of 4 and 2.
Guild Wars 2 Guide: Level 35-60
Chef Wars Journeys Guide
Level 35 is where Guild Wars 2 starts to get exciting as you now unlock the opportunity to go on raids and dungeons. These dungeon fights require quite a bit of time and effort as the difficulty curve is quite steep but in the end, it is worth it. You receive a ton of experience and loot, allowing you to become even stronger.
Furthermore, if you wish to make things go faster, we advise you carry along a team of experienced players who have previously completed these dungeons. We say this because doing so will not only save you time but also effort.
Chef War Guide
So, the question here rises, which dungeon to head into first. All star casino. Well, it is highly, highly recommended you start off at the Ascalonian Catacombs found in the Plains of Ashford. Continue on with the dungeons till you hit Level 45 after which you can move towards the explorable paths in Caudecus’ Manor. From here you will have a total of 6 different explorable paths to go through each day. At Level 55, you can head into the Twilight Arbor which will further add two explorable paths.
On a related note, while you are grinding your way through the different dungeon, keep a check of your Traits as these are something which are quite under-rated. However, if you manage to unlock them at the right moment, you can save up quite a bit of time, and earn even more experience points. As a result, complete the requirements of your traits, as soon as possible.
Guild Wars 2 Guide: Level 60-80
As soon as you reach Level 60, it is time for you to unlock your Master Tier Traits. And like we mentioned before, it is advised you go through all of the paths, completing every single tree and obtain every single Trait. We say this because following this will not only make your character stronger but you will also receive massive amounts of experience. Hence, saving you both time and money.
Moreover, by this time in your game, you should start making your way to Dredgehaunt Cliffs (south of Hoelbrak) and Fireheart Rise (north of the Black Citadel). This is because here you will find two more dungeons called Sorrow’s Embrace and Citadel of Flame, plus an additional 6 explorable paths.
Sorrow’s Embrace will give the option of choosing from a total of 11 explorable dungeon paths. However, it is highly recommended you do all of them if you wish to level up quicker and earn exotic rewards. As a result, if all are done, you can easily jump to the level 75 rank. (Follow Path 1 and 3 if you wish to do it quickly)
After this, head towards the Citadel of Flame which gives you some of the quickest dungeon paths in the game. Complete the challenges and paths which await you here and in no time, you will have reached the coveted level 80 rank which means our job here is done.
